《鲁滨逊漂流记》讲述了鲁滨逊·克鲁索在一个无人荒岛上的求生故事。作者丹尼尔·笛福也因《鲁滨逊漂流记》获得巨大成功，被誉为“英国小说和报纸之父”。年轻的鲁滨逊一心向往航海，但在一次航行中，他所乘的船失事了。他被海浪冲到一个荒无人烟的小岛上，从此开始了孤身一人的荒岛生活。为了生存，他不得不经受种种磨难。多年以后，他收服了仆人“星期五”并得以重返家园。

作者介绍

丹尼尔?笛福 Daniel Defoe (1660-1731) 笛福生于伦敦，只受过中等教育。二十多岁时，笛福已是一个体面的商人，后来经商破产，不得不以其他方式谋生。他给政府当过情报员，也做过新闻记者，早年以写政论文和讽刺诗著称。他反对封面专制，主张发展资本主义工商业。1719年，笛福发表了他的第一部小说《鲁滨逊漂流记》，大受读者欢迎。此后又相继发表了《辛格顿船长》（Captain Singleton）、《摩尔?费兰德斯》（Moll Flanders）和《罗克萨娜》（Roxana）等长篇小说。
