作者介绍
Michael McCarthy教授是英语教学界教材设计、单词教学、字典编撰及语料库研究方面首屈一指的英语语言教育大师。作为英国诺丁汉大学应用语言学的荣誉教授、美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学应用语言学教授、爱尔兰利默里克大学应用语言学教授，迈克尔?麦卡锡在过去的41年里，一直积极投身于英语教育事业，曾在38个国家主讲开展主题为语言和语言教学的系列讲座，参与超过30多本书籍和70多篇学术论文的写作和编撰。2010年4月，经同剑桥大学出版社达成共识，新东方教育科技集团项目管理中心与大愚文化传播有限公司共同独家引进了被奉为英语教育“圣经”的《剑桥标准英语教程》（Touchstone），它是中国市场上实用类英语教材领域中唯一一套堪称“基于语料库”的教材，在教材内容、教学方法以及练习形式等层面具有科学性、前瞻性、创新性和权威性。
